What should I do, fly or take the train from Vienna to Prague. What is the fastest train from Vienna to Prague. Is the scenery by train worth it.

It can be done in 4 hours. City centre to city centre. Faster than flying. More comfortable. And as cheap as EUR 29. Tickets at the website of the Austrian railways.

Absolutely train. Plane including all the hassle takes longer. Is the scenery by train worth it? It depends for who. There are more scenic train rides and there are less scenic train rides. The scenery between Vienna and Brno - nothing much. OK or nice scenery is between Brno and Chocen (it's a station just before Pardubice. International express does not stop there). Valleys, rivers and creeks, tunnels, wooded hills, ponds. Then again between Chocen and Prague nothing much.
Buy your ticket through the Czech railroads. http://www.idos.cz you can change it to English. The price is 524 czk = 19.38 Euro and you can have several beers in Prague for the price you saved comparing to Austrian railroads.

The train is the way. The countryside beside the train is a river bottom, and it's pretty agricultural--and flat.
