Vienna to Krakow train - possible construction?

Hello, I am planning on taking the sleeper train from Vienna to Krakow on the night of May 29 to the morning of May 30. However, when at the Austrian OBB travel portal site, the following message accompanies the particular train I would like to be on (translated): D 406 Construction in Poland. The Power of the Polish State Railways PKP 2013 numerous sites to be addressed. The construction schedules are made ??earlier than four weeks before the work is available. A reliable travel booking is therefore normally only about three weeks prior to departure. We provide you with any schedule changes as soon as possible available. Please remember this at all! We regret any inconvenience. This message is present for every date and time I look at from now until June. I tried calling OBB but they said that they would have no knowledge of potential delays in Poland. I guess what I'm asking is, is anyone aware of any delays or cancellations due to construction? Should I go ahead and book the ticket and just hope for the best? I would like to purchase some tours for the 30th but don't know if I should wait in case i'll be arriving much later, but I also don't want to wait in fear of the price going up or selling out. I checked this page (http://www.ricksteves.com/rail/railnews.htm) and it says that the train isn't running from Berlin to Krakow, but doesn't say anything about Vienna to Krakow. Thank you in advance!

Hi, First of all, none of the connections is really good from Berlin to Krakow. There is no direct connection, which was the case before. I rode Krakow-Berlin direct in July. Maybe it's still too early. But, still Berlin-Krakow is doable. In your case with 29 May as the departure date, I would do Berlin Hbf to Krakow Glowny by day. You'll need to change once in Wroclaw (Breslau) but will arrive in Krakow at 21:00. I would rather do this route than having to change at one of the Warsaw stations, not the main station.

Sorry for the confusion Fred, but I'm actually travelling from Vienna to Krakow, not Berlin to Krakow. I just mentioned Berlin because of what was said on this page: http://www.ricksteves.com/rail/railnews.htm. Thanks again. If anyone has any input, I appreciate it! Mark
