We want to get to the Tower of London by 8:30. Anyone have an idea from the Victoria station how long it might take? and from the Tube station to get in the line up? We want to be sure we allow enough time. Would probably be in with the morning commute for most people. Thanks

District Line or Circle Line to Tower Hill, then 5 to 10 minutes from there, depending on how quickly you walk. In theory it should be under 30 minutes end to end, but not pleasant in the rush hour.

Try this nifty "journey planner" on the tube website. According to this, it is a 15-16 minute journey by tube to Tower Hill. After that you have about 5-10 minutes walk. So if you are on the tube by 8am, that should do it. By the way, we were there about a month ago and the lines at 8:30 were very short, but when we left at about 11, they were really long, so this is a great idea. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/modalpages/2625.aspx
