We looked at the Thello site and tried booking a 3 bed sleeper or a four bed couchette for eithr Dec 27 or 28 from Verona. It says the fare is no longer available and to select another date. Assuming it means it is sold out? We are looking at taking the train to London. Any other suggestions or options?

This is really confusing as elsewhere you ask about airport hotels at ZUrich,flying out of Zurich on Dec. 31.

We are scheduled to fly out of Zurich but someone along the way suggested seeing the countryside via train to London. We are simply exploring options, as all depends on what the airline will charge to change our flight. We are still flying unless someone can convince us further this is a good idea. Just seeking info, but thanks for your help!

At this very late date and for travel over a holiday period and for a larger party I'd suggest trying to call. You may very well come across the same problem trying to get onto the Eurostar from Paris to London, and at the very least will end up paying top dollar.

Nigel, right you are! It has been most difficult. We had some tag a longs decide to do the trip, and trying to help figure out how to get them back to London on the train. It isnt' looking good!

The holidays are very busy times for the trains. Try to take a flight. Milan-London s actually farther than you'd think-still a 2 hr. flight from London.
