Hello. My girlfriend and I have youth global eurail passes. In order to get on the night train from Venice to Vienna, the only places left were a double sleeper for 1st class pass/ticket holders. So, we booked the sleeper through RailEurope for about $100 each, and were told that we would still have to pay a supplement to the conductor to upgrade at the station.
First, how is this done, when and where do we pay this (do we ask the ticket counter at the Venezia St. Lucia station?
Second, does anyone know how much this will cost? I was planning for about $100 per person for the supplement (thus, $200 total per person).
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
