Hello, I want to go from Venice to Salzburg by train, and I see there are two routes; one through Innsbruck and the other through Villach. Which is more scenic (bearing in mind that both will be snowy in December)? And when I book tickets on the DBahn website, how can I tell which route I am getting? Thanks so much!

Click on "show details", then click on "show intermediate stops" or "map view" and you'll see.

If you take the Villach route, you'll go directly with no train changes to Salzburg. If you go via Innsbruck, you'll have to change in Innsbruck or Rosenheim, and, depending on which EC you take, maybe Verona.
