Venice to Plitvice Lakes National Park

Hello, Your help with this problem would be greatly appreciated, I would love it if somebody could help me with a convenient route from Venice, Italy to the Plitvice Lakes national Park. So far I've only been able to find routes via train that are very inconvenient. I have a Eurail pass and would like to make use of that if possible. However, I am also open to a ferry route as well. I would like to leave Venice on either August 21st in the afternoon or 22nd at any time. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide me with. Regards,
Jason

Jason, the easiest and quickest option would be a ferry (Jadrolina) 2 hours, to Rovinj or Pula and then rent a can for a 3 hour or so drive to Plitvice. You did not give much detail on how long or where you will go after Plitvice so other options may be a tour bus from Rovinj. I was there in June and saw a flyer for a tour bus group but you may have to contact a travel agency there to find them. There also may be buses, but I think that could get complicated and perhaps limit your schedule.
If you want to rent a car for pickup in Rovinj try Eurocar who contracted with Oryx in Croatia. Hope this helps

Thank you for your response. You are right, I didn't provide a lot of detail in my post. I think I have figured it out. In case you care: I am going to take the 130am train from Venice to Zagreb On August 22nd. It gets in at 10am. Then I'm hopping on a bus from Zagreb to Plitvice and staying the night there. Doing the Plitvice lakes early on the 23rd, and catching the bus back to Split that night. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out! You're awesome!
