I'm meeting someone in Venice in early April but was hoping to get to Monte Carlo for the 2nd leg of the trip. How do I get to Monaco from Venice? Fly? Train? Drive? And once there do I rent a car to see Antibes & Eze? Would love to hear suggestions but know Venice & Monte Carlo are a must!! Flying from NYC could do open jaw.
Take the train from Venice to Monaco. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the view of the countryside.
You do not need to rent a car to see either Antibes or Eze-le-Village. There are 2-3 trains/hour between Monaco and Antibes. Bus #110 goes from Monaco to Eze-le-Village and on to Nice. See the bus timetables here.
Are you an art lover? Then be sure to visit the Picasso Museum in Antibes and the Chagall and Matisse museums in Nice. (There are other highly-rated art museums in the area, but these are the ones I can recommend from personal experience.)
Wow that's great. Thank you but one more question. How long is the train from Venice to Nice?
