Three primary ways to get from the main Venice islands to Marco Polo airport. Vaporetto/bus, Alilaguna water boat or the water taxi. There are no trains or vaporettos to the airport. The least expensive are either of the two bus lines that depart the large Piazzale Roma area for the airport. Typically, you would take the vaporetto to the Piazzale Roma stop and then take the bus. About 3E. One bus line is ACTV (www.actv.it) which is operated by the City. The second is ATVO (www.atvo.it). Both take about 20-25 minutes to get to the airport. Second is the Alilaguna water boat. About 13E to the airport. The journey takes about 70 minutes. Note that stops on the main islands may not be close to your hotel. See www.alilaguna.it. Last is the water taxi. Quite expensive. 90E-110E for up to 6 people. Like a typical taxi, the service does not have a scheduled route. They will pick you up or drop you off wherever you need.
