Venice: Getting from train terminal to cruise passenger terminal

We're traveling by train from Verona to Santa Lucia station in Venice to board a Princess Cruiselines ship. What is the best way for four adults (w/baggage) to get from the station to the cruise terminal at the Marittima basin?

St. Lucia station is very close to the cruise port, about a quarter mile. My wife and I arrived via cruise ship last Spring and were directed to (supposedly) the one taxi company that is allowed to drive directly to the train station. We were dropped on the train side of the terminal at the end of the platform where the trains arrive. Alternative is to haul all your luggage about a hundred yards to Piaza Roma by crossing a large stepped bridge which was not designed for roll luggage. Taxis are easy to get there but it's a trek to get to the plaza. Don't recall the name of the cab company but you could probably inquire upon arrival. Total was twenty-five euro for two couples plus a lot of luggage. Well worth it in our opinion. Enjoy.

John We were in Venice last month to stay a few days before and board a Costa cruise. Our company provided a free shuttle bus from the Pizza Roma to the cruise terminal about 10 minutes or less away. There was a water taxi from the train station to the cruise terminal I think was about 25 euro.
Check with Princess on the shuttle.

John,
Piazzale Roma is walking distance from the train station, from there you will take the free shuttle to the port
