We have a party of 7 needing transport from the airport in Venice to the tour starting point hotel. Looks like the bus and boat are our travel options. Any input? Which is easier? More economical? More pleasant?
It might help to know what hotel you're staying at. If it's close to P. Roma, the bus might be easiest. If it's further away, for 7 people, a private water taxi would probably make more sense.
What’s your hotel address?
I would take a shuttle bus into Plaza Roma and switch over to a vaparetto.
The trick is figuring out which vaparetto stop to get off for the shortest hike with your luggage. There again, we travel very light.
Venice is not too hard to navigate using Google Maps. Your hotel can also give directions.
Absolutely a water taxi. With that number of people it’s economical. You get help with your luggage, a spectacular ride on open water into Venice, drop off at your hotel. https://www.bookwatertaxivenice.com/
Alan (above) gives great advice. The water taxi is the best, most enjoyable, and really cost-wise not much with 7 sharing the water taxi. The view will be fabulous and beat the (less visible) views any other method of arriving.
Grazia a tutti!
If 7 people are all sharing the taxi fare then it’s a no-brainer to take the water taxi no matter where your hotel is located.
