Venice ACTV Map

I'd like to print off the ACTV map and timetable , per RS recommendation, prior to our arrival in Venice. I am at the www.actv.it site, but cannot find the link to the map. Can someone provide me with the direct link(s) to the map and timetable so I can review prior to our visit?

There is an app CheBateo? (the ? is part of the app name). It will show you vaporetto routes. Hope that helps you.

Thank you for that information. However, I will turn off my data while in Italy, so not sure how I can use this app, as it finds my location and then makes recommendations (from what I can see). Any hints on how to use this app without data would be appreciated.

Sorry I can’t help with the data question. We ended up, due to problems, not exploring Venice as much as we would have liked. When we did, I turned data on for a day and paid Verizon’s $10/day. Vaporetto stops were easy to find and with a pass we were able to hop on and off when we wanted.

I would also recommend screen shorting the map on your phone. Thus was really helpful on our trip. We never worried about timetables because we weren’t out very early or very late. One tip - all vaporetto stations have two (or more) docking areas. If you want to get on a boat heading to the RIGHT, go to the docking area on the LEFT. And vice versa.

Of all the times we’ve been in Venice I think we’ve used the vaporetto exactly twice. So don’t get stressed out thinking you’re constantly going to be using it. Walking for us was usually much simpler

Uuummm.... I think travel4fun may be wrong re. two separate docking areas for ALL vaporetto stops. There are separate docking/boarding areas at the LARGE stops, like at the train station, but the smaller stops only have one - at least to my recollection, having visited Venice some 6+ times in the last eight years. I usually stay at a hotel near the San Stae stop, and there is just one boarding/docking area there. You just have to pay attention to the approaching vaporetto. Is it coming from the left, or the right? So is it heading the direction that you want to go, or not? If it's not your vaporetto, you step back and let the folks who want to get on it get ahead of you. At least that's how I recall my experience.
