I have a Global Select Railpass. Do I still get my railpass discount when I book through this website? If so, where do I indicate that I have a pass? All the site seems to offer is the bahn card discounts.
What are you trying to book? Except for seat reservation, which are a nominal charge, I think any German routes you find on the Bahn website would be included at no cost with a railpass.
Or are you talking about the accommodation supplement or Aufpreis (sometimes called a "reservation") for a night train? For some reason, German Rail no longer books those online, but I believe you can call them for a reservation.
In almost all (maybe all) cases of day trains in German, the railpass is your ticket.
So, how do I reserve an actual seat then since the railpass only allows me to board the train?
If the train is listed on the Bahn schedule as a "CNL" (CityNightLine) night train, call (your Int'l access code, likely 011)(country code for Germany, 49), then 1805 141514. Tell the person answering "English". If they don't speak English, they will have someone who does on shortly.
Or go to RailEurope and pay more. You can also go to Euraide. They'll get the reservations at the same price as (from) German Rail, but charge you $50 for the service.
Thanks!
