bought the Garmin Nuvi, love it for driving around the US.
Considering purchasing the European maps, but want to use it for walking around larger cities in Europe.
Anyone out there a GPS expert that can let me know if it's worth the $200+ to purchase the software?
Don't think I'll use it for driving, as we never rent a car, always use public transport, or ride our bike...but this is a different trip, and I will just be walking in Rome/Florence, etc.
Does it put me in harms way - i.e. a target for pickpockets - or should we just use a map?
