Use of Luggage Storage at Train Stations

When I went on a previous trip to Europe we were able to store our larger luggage for up to three days at a time? How can I find out which train stations in each country allow a person to store luggage?

The DB Rail site will cover what stations have facilities in Germany- but I'm not sure they post the policy on how long you may use the lockers before they do a sweep and empty them. Many of the larger stations also offer left luggage service at a service counter, if you are truly talking about LARGE luggage you'd have to use that kind of service. We used train station lockers also in Switzerland, but didnt happen to notice whether the Swiss website also details which stations have lockers. Hopefully others will chime in here on other countries...

The website for regional rail in Bavaria, www.bayern-takt.de, has station plans for every station in Bavaria, including whether they have lockers (Schließfächer) and where they are. In addition, Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (Frankfurt area metro, www.rmv.de) has station layouts.

I also have a collection of layouts for about 100 major stations throughout Germany. If you have a specific station in mind, PM me.

I'm afraid I can't help you outside of Germany.
