Urgent Request - Paris Shuttle Service

Has anyone used Paris-shuttle.com for transportation from the airport to downtown Paris. I made reservation on the internet for pickup next week at De Gaulle Airport to Down Town Paris - got a credit card verifiation but any attempts to reach them have been in vain - including calling them - said phone number may be out of service. I need to either dispute the charge or some how confirm they are legit and hope they are there to pick us up.

We used Paris Shuttle in May 2008 and had no problems at all. They picked us up on time at our hotel and took us to Orly airport. Good luck!

OK I seem to have found the problem - Paris-Shuttle.com seems to be a reservation service for parishuttle.com so we received a voucher from parishuttle .com and it looks like we are good to go on this matter. I guess Paris-shuttle.com either is out of business or they have transferred their business to parishuttle.com

Great news, John! Can you let us know how your experience went when you get back? Trying to decide (still) between a shuttle and a Taxi, myself. I'd like to hear real experiences. Have a great trip!

I booked round trip with "Paris-Shuttle" from Charles DeGaull Airport into Paris, for 70 Euros. When I arrived, and called their toll free number, the man told me that they had cancelled my ride, notified me by email, and refunded my VISA card, none of which was true. I called later and told them I wanted to cancel the return trip because I no longer had confidence in their company. I did so by phone and email, but never got a credit or a confirmation. I lost 70 euros with them and it cost me 70 euros to take a cab in and 31 Euros to book with another shuttle company for the return trip.. From what I can tell, "Paris-shuttle.com" is a fraud. "Parishuttle.com (one 's' and no hyphen seems to be OK,or at least it was the last time I was here in December 2011. Unfortunately I used a debit card VISA and it was more than 60 days ago. Moral of story. Don't use PARIS-SHUTTLE, and always make your purchases with a credit card from 30 to 60 days of the services so you can challenge the credit card company and they will reverse your purchase. John

Thats sucks,, I have heard of this parishshuttle thing ,, one spelt a bit different then the other and one being good and one being bad. I have used Shuttle-Inter twice, it does NOT require prepaying or giving of your CC number, and no call required( which is good since I do not travel with a cellphone and don't want the hassle of getting a calling card and calling from airport pay phone when I arrive) they take your flight info, and even waited when I was late . Best of all since you do not prepay, you could if for some reason they didn't show, just jump in a taxi , no money lost out.

I wouldn't trust anybody who didn't get back to me. The two times we have been in Paris, during the past three years, we have had our hotel (Le Littre) arrange a taxi with a particular service they successfuly use. It worked out great. The taxi met us at Charles de Gaulle, drove us directly to the hotel. Then when we left the Le Littre, the taxi met us and drove us to our terminal. Maybe you can contact your hotel and ask them if they offer the same service. We were told our price upfront and we paid the driver diretly. We didn't have to worry about the meter charging us some astronomical amount either. We have had our hotels in different locations arrange service whenever possible. Enjoy your trip.

John from Abingdon, Virginia USA, that's good information and agrees with the previous posts on this thread. Are you aware that the thread you reopened was from June 2010? My guess is that John from Brentwood will have resolved his problem by now. The way that this Helpline is constructed the original poster gets an email every time their thread is answered. The unintended consequence is that that poor person gets all your mail. If you want to start a discussion and have the benefit of knowing when somebody has responded its probably best to start your own thread...
