I'm pressed for time and I'm not having any luck searching the archives, but I recall that a few days ago someone posted that reservations could be made for the Eurostar Italia (in my case Florence to Rome) beginning 24 hrs. prior to departure time, with tickets being purchased upon arrival at the terminal within the 24 hour time period. Is this correct? Any help is appreciated.
I don't know if what you read is possible, but it really doesn't matter. There are at least two ES trains/hour between Florence and Rome. Buy your ticket when you get to Florence for the departure date and time of your choice.
Thanks, Tim. Just what I was thinking, only I was hoping to get some kind discounted ticket if any were still available that close to departure time, maybe even the "Familia" tickets, which are also limited, I believe.
You're welcome, Gina.
To get the Familia fares, one person must be under 12. I'm not aware of any limitations so I don't think buying tickets in advance is necessary.
