I made a mistake on the date I should buy the TGV tickets. I want to leave Paris on June 8 and get to Trier, Germany in the early afternoon for our RS tour.
I can find 98 euros tickets for us from Paris to Saarbruecken, but how do I get to Trier? I also can't find the train schedules. No experience at this.

Hi Sandy, Take a look at www.bahn.de - this is the German rail site. You can buy a ticket here that leaves Paris at 9:10 am with a change of trains in Saarbrucken and then onto Trier arriving at 12:11. The price for this is 29 euro total. This is "savings fare", so I'd grab it quickly before these special rates are gone. good luck!

Sandy are you planning on timing your arrival day for tour the day of the tour, trains are reliable 99.8 % of the time, but I would still suggest arriving the day before.. ugh too stressful for me. lol

We are taking our newly widowed daughter to Paris before the RS trip. According to the train schedule we could leave our apartment, send her to the Roissy bus, and get to the Gare Est and still arrive in early afternoon for the RS tour. We had to take these dates because they were the only frequent flyer times we could get. I miscalculated the dates to buy the PREMs TGV tickets so I was frantic last night. My credit card wouldn't go through (forget to tell Chase). Finally I used paypal even though Chase said not to do it. But I got the tickets on the TTV. Everyone must have been buying tickets because we had to switch to second class, but then they finally offered us first class on the 9:10 which is what we wanted. Success at last with everyone's help.
