Being a person whose head flops forward when I try to sleep on an airplane, I was intrigued when I saw this product (Upright Sleeper Adult Pillow). Has anyone tried it? If yes, I'm interested in what you think or thought of it. Thanks.
Sharon,
I haven't tried one but it looks like a good idea and probably works as advertised. I'd consider one except for the fact that my luggage space is limited, so there's no way I'd want to use it twice and then have to pack it all over Europe.
You didn't provide a link in your post, so I assume THIS is the product you were referring to?
A much cheaper and easier packing option is use the normal inflatable pillow (only inflate it till it's comfortable, it doesn't have to be fully inflated). Rather than use it as a horseshoe behind your neck, turn it 90 degrees and, voila, you have support for your chin.
Yes, Ken, that's the pillow I saw.
Did you also see that 5 out of 8 gave it a one star rating? I think that answers your question.
No, I didn't see the ratings - guess I'll save some money.
I do as Brad suggests.. use a regular 5 dollar blow up pillow sideways.. i also bring second blow up neck ring, which I under inflate and use in small of back( WHY are plane seats concave for goodness sake!)?
Last year I flew with a broken toe. I used a $1 under inflated beach ball for a foot rest and as lumbar support. Best dollar ever spent. My thought was to toss it after the flight. However I packed it with me throughout our trip because it also worked to give lumpy or flat pillows a little extra cushion.
I have been traveling a lot on planes internationally and always found it a pain to catch some sleep sitting up. As soon as I fell asleep, my head fell forward and woke me up instantly. Then I came across a newly advertised thing on Amazon called the SeatSnoozer. I bought it and was surprised how it worked! I was actually getting some good sleep on the plane! Just wanted to pass this experience on.
