I reported a few weeks ago when we were trying to book our night train from Florence to Paris all our cards were denied like most others report. Last night we tried to book our train from Venice to Florence and we had no issue with it.
But again this is with a Canadian CC.

Bluedenim, great to hear of your successful transaction. I'm still working on this issue. My latest is that I believe that CartaSi, the largest credit card issuer in Italy processes the transactions for Trenitalia. It seems that they can and will deny based upon the IP address of the PC trying to make the transaction. On your two tries, were you on the same computer in the same location? Or, might you have been on a laptop in two different locations. Just researching.

I tried today to book my train and it did not work, i tried with two differents canadian mastercard. I want to try again do i have to wait 30 days like the email says?

funny when ours was denied we never even got any emails after it denied it...
strange.
Actually I think I am going to call our CC just to make sure it went through as now I am wondering LOL
We used a visa is that makes any difference.
