United is now making menus for in-flight meal service available through the website and app.

On the website click on "flight status" and enter the flight number and hit search, then click "view details" or "amenities". When the details come up click on or scroll down to "aircraft" then click on "inflight amenities". You'll then see inflight menu and a link to go the the menu.

On the app click "flight status" and enter the flight number and hit search. When the details come up, scroll down and you'll see "inflight menu - new". Click on that and you'll see menus for economy, premium and first.

Trust me, even if you’re flying business class, eat in the airport or bring food on. Do not depend on the airlines has to provide edible food.

I was sent an email four days before a recent flight in Delta Premium Economy to choose my meal. There were only two choices, and when I was in my seat I was asked by an FA which meal I wanted, so I'm not sure why they even go to the trouble of sending out that email.

That said, it was one of the better airline meals I've had - curry chicken with jasmine rice and braised baby bok choy. I was inspired to make braised bok choy at home a few days after this meal. PE also had the option of charcuterie and fruit plate instead of a high carb snack before landing.

Unless I were traveling in business class I probably wouldn't go to the trouble of looking up the menu.
