This is an FYI. I hope no one here is affected. I am flying out of EWR on Delta in September. Fingers crossed. I'll be checking my emails from Delta, however.

I just spoke with UA about a similar potential situation!. The woman assured me that UA is obligated to rebook you on any alternate available flight that you choose, free of charge. EVEN if you're booked on another Star Alliance partner for all or part of your trip. IF booked through UA, they will handle it. Good luck!
