Understanding price on train ticket

Hello! I bought DEBahn rail tickets. There is a Preis which I know is price, but what is MwSt(D). It looks like tax. My question is - is the Preis the total cost including the tax or do I need to add the two together to get the total cost of my ticket? Thanks for your help. Thanks to this site, especially someone named Lee, we will have a lot more spending money on our trip. You helped us save a lot of money!!

MwSt(D) means indeed "Mehrwertsteuer (Deutschland)," that is "value added tax (Germany)." Any final price billed for consumers in Germany includes the VAT. The sum something is tagged with is the sum you have to pay.
The line MwSt just shows how much of that is going to the taxman.
