I want to purchase a rolling bag that will fit under the seat of a United 757 business class seat. I need the dimensions of the space to get the right size bag. Thank you. Kay
Doesn't the United website give the dimensions of acceptable baggage?
As far as I have ever been able to find, United doesn't specify the carry-on or underseat dimensions for Business Class any differently than the allowable limits for the other seating classes. Their allowable carry-on limits are at: http://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/travel/Pages/BaggageCarry-On.aspx?SID=B6C1CA125D194187B616E833D9977285
I know the seats are 20" wide I have this bag that is Dimensions: 16.75" x 13.75" x 7" It fits under an economy seat
Why under the seat when there is plenty of overhead storage in business class? With the folding foot rests and other aspects of business class I would wonder just how much space is available since it is really not needed to the same degree that the space is used in economy class. I doubt if you will find the info anywhere.
If they are 180 degree lay-down seats, there is no under the seat storage, everything needs to go in the over heads, unless you have a window seat with a small storage bin (for a purse or small briefcase). In business class there is plenty of overhead space as there are less people. Go to Seat Guro at:

I don't know what the business class seats are like on that United Boeing 757. Each airline designs their own seat configurations. However, I have now made 3 Atlantic crossings in Delta business class. First, the foot room is very large to allow the seats to almost fully recline for sleeping. I haven't had a bulkhead seat yet, so I don't know what that's like, but the seat in front has space on either side of a big box in the middle. It was adequate for my big tote and my husband's messenger bag, but you absolutely cannot get to it without unbuckling your seat belt. As others have said, there was also more than enough room for our carry-ons, coats, etc. in the overhead bins. It sounds like you haven't flown business class before. One surprise for us was that the space between the seats, essentially under your feet and legs when you recline, becomes a big mess with pillows, blankets, etc. Business class is both pampered and messy.
