Unable to puchase ticket from Vueling

I have been trying to puchase Paris to Rome tickets on Vueling airlines. Every time it fails when it comes to charging the credit card. I have tried both Visa and Mastercard without avail. I even called the airline and spoke to an agent. She took the credit card info over the phone but the charge still would not go through. Strangely, the credit card company does not even see the transaction request coming it.

At this point I do not know how I can purchase a ticket on this airline. Unfortunately the Palatino (Paris to Rome overnight) does not have a C4 couchette available on July 25th so I am running out of options. If I am unsuccessful in purchasing ticket from Vueling, my last option will be Ryanair. I was avoiding it so far because the flight reaches Rome quite late (11:30 at night) but that might be my last option.

If anyone has other ideas that I might have missed, please let me know.

Call your CC company. My guess is that the charge is being blocked as "possibly fraudulent" by them.

I personally have had this happen to me, so have others on this board, just scroll back a few pages to see many such posts.
It is a problem with Vueling, not with you or your card.
It is very annoying, but, the good news is, we all eventually suceeded. I ended up trying two different cards, and emailing them. Vueling kept saying it might be my bank. My bank said NO, they had not even recieved any communication from Vueling at all.

I have no idea how it happened, but , one day, after trying over and over, it just went..
Seriously, it finally accepted my card and I got my tickets for July.

I really wanted to use Vueling as I was going to be staying close to Charles de Gaulle airport( with relatives) so it was convenient, and it was CHEAPER then the overnight train. I got a one way ticket for 80 euros.

PS Vueling must know how hard it is for us North American buyers, since I have only heard of this probelm happening to Canadains and Americans, not the Brits. I wish they would fix it, and I sent serveral emails back and forth with them getting close to no where!

I also had the same problem with Vueling. After several tries, it finally worked. I cleared my cookies and temporary internet files - don't know if that helped - but it worked the first try after that.

Another option is to fly easyJet, but they fly out of Paris Orly into Rome Ciampino.

Ciampino is actually slightly more convenient to Rome than FCO (Rome's main airport) since it's less busy. Although it is a bit more difficult to get into town (bus service to Termini instead of train).
