We have never used the train system in the Europe but plan to be there for about three weeks in Sept. 2011. Can the British rail pass be used on any lines or is it just their own trains? We are considering buying the 15 or 22 day pass but can it be used on other lines at train stations? Is it reasonable to plan to travel without a schedule and just use the train system to sightsee throughout UK . Will the rail pass get us to small regions, remote towns, and beach towns? Is there a combo train and bus package that is recommended. Any help is sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance,
