Two Part EES Question

1st traveling to Barcelona in June. Any one have experience going through Barcelona Airport since institution of EES.

2nd left Europe last July through Charles DeGaul.back to USA had to scan my passport 5 times one for boarding pass once at bag check plus once going through security. Again automated going to gate this where I inputted my fingerprint and got a face and passport scan. Again by an official in a booth just pass the fingerprint and facial scan then lastly on boarding All went smoothly with very little waiting

Curious will any of my scans in CDG mean I’m already in the EES database

We flew into to Frankfort last month and registered on the EEs system--fingerprints, facial scan and passport scan. I asked the guard if the system retained the scans and he said yes, that we wouldn't have to register again on later trips to the Schengen zone.

So, I think you are probably in the system.

I don't think you have registered for EES. It didn't start to roll out until October 2025. Here's a recent thread discussing EES at CDG in Paris.

I did EES in Barcelona at the end of January. They were having tech issues with a number of kiosks when I was there but I would imagine/hope they are ironed out now. In any event, it wasn't a terribly long wait in line.
