Is it possible to book two tickets online via Delta with the same confirmation number using two different credit cards? We both have AmEx through Delta and want points for each of our accounts but want to avoid being split up in the event the airline has to change our seats, which has happened before because we were not traveling on the same confirmation number....if so, how do I go about doing this? Thanks, Cici
Call Delta. When we traveled we each enter our FF number and each get credit for the flight. How the ticket is paid for has no bearing on the FF miles unless one is using a upgraded card that awards more points.
It sounds like they want AmEx points not Delta FF miles. Each needs to be charged separately, on two different cards. It doesn't appear you can do this online, so call Delta and just explain you want to book the tickets as one (same confirmation number) but charge to two different credit cards. They will let you know if it is possible or not (and will do it for you if it is possible). If it isn't, just flip a coin to see who gets the points, or decide who needs them the most.
Hello...yes, Lola is correct. We want the points for the AmEx cards as well as the FF points. Called Delta and they said the tix had to be booked separately. Since we are upgrading to Economy Comfort and those seats are limited, the agent said we should not have a problem with being separated due to a seat change. Thank you for your help..Cici
Just call Delta and ask them to connect your two reservations. We do this all the time when we might by one ticket wtih miles, and pay for the other. On the United's site, it gives you the opportunity to connect your reservations online.
Our concern is that if the flights are cancelled/ connections missed, we want to be booked together on the alternative.
Good point Karen...I did not know they could do that and will contact them....thanks! Cici
