I’d probably wind up pulling myself over for additional screening … seems to happen all the time anyway.

Cyn, lol. That’s us. One or the other of us always gets pull over, sometimes both.

I wonder how this will work for me. I have TSA-Pre. I also have 2 titanium hips, a small titanium neck fusion, and recently added a replacement titanium shoulder. So I always have to go through the scanner, and then get examined (and BTW, with my horribly arthritic shoulder, getting my left arm up to the proper position this past year was brutal!)

Although I do like how if you have left something in your pocket (seems I always miss some detritus) it lets you go back out to remove it and re-enter.

Interesting that the first test is going to be TSA-Pre departing Las Vegas. I think this will work great with frequent travelers who have learned how to successfully navigate the equipment. Where this will fail misserably is when multiple lanes get clogged by inexperienced users and there are not enought TSA agents to clear the bottlenecks.

This,

If a passenger doesn’t pass initial screening due to an item left in their pocket or similar issue, the entry door reopens so passengers can remove items before being re-screened in the passenger portal. >>>>

So, if a terrorist finds his weapon or bomb does not go through, he can exit and do his deed before security.
