trying to book tickets on tgv site

I'm trying to book tickets on the tgv site for travel on August 5 from Paris to Tours roundtrip. When I get to payment page it only gives me the option to use automated machines (I don't have a chip and pen card) or send by post. Nothing about printing etickets. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Nancy, I also was not given the option to print at home, I think because our trips include regional trains as well as TGV. TGV-Europe emailed me that I will be able to pick them up at any train station from a ticket agent but not at an SNCF boutique and of course not at an automated machine. I have my fingers crossed!

Try getting the ticket to St Pierre-des-Corps. That is the TGV station in Tours, about a mile from the nominal Tours train station.

I'm trying to arrange a tour with acco dispo to see the Loire Valley. Does anyone know if the Ti across from the train station where the tour starts is actually the St Pierre de Corp station or the central tours station? Thanks for your help.

It is by the "Tours" main station. There is a shuttle (either train or bus) between the 2. As a last resort, there is always a taxi.

In case you didn't notice this: Absolutely bring the credit card you used to purchase your tickets, even if it's cancelled or expired!

The "roundtrip" aspect of this may be the problem. Once, I booked tickets for three routes, and put them all in my shopping basket, then tried to check out. Like you, I only got the option to have tickets mailed or to pick up at a machine. I then deleted all but one ticket, and got the option to pick up at a ticket window. So, I had to book the tickets as three separate transactions, and by doing this, I could pick them up with my swipe credit card.

Nancy, the French will not let you print tickets at home when a Regional train is involved - even if it is coupled with a TGV. You can print out tickets for TGV runs. You will need to go to any staffed SNCF train station to pick up your tickets as the ticket machines are chip and pin. You must bring the credit card that you used to purchase the ticket. Oddly enough, this is only for identification and most of the time, your passport will do the job. But, bring the credit card anyway.
