Hi! I booked a set of tickets from Amsterdam Centraal to London St. Pancras, with an exchange in Brussels-Midi using the NSHispeed website, choosing the home print eTicket option. When I download and open the ticket pdf file, the ticket is showing only Brussels to London, I don't seem to have a ticket for Amsterdam to Brussels. Can I sort this out at a train counter in Amsterdam? I have the booking code from NSHiSpeed. I would contact them directly, but they don't seem to have an e-mail address.. Thanks for any advice!
You can sort it out at Centraal Station Amsterdam. But are you absolutely certain the Amsterdam/Brussels tickets aren't included? If that segment is for the regular inter-city train instead of the high-speed Thalys, you will just receive a "general" ticket valid for any departure as reservations aren't possible on the IC trains.
Yeah, I think I figured it out. The ticket states "elk station NL - Brussels", which seems to mean any station in the Netherlands to Brussels.
Yep, as I understand it, "elk" in dutch means each, thus your ticket should be good for departure from any dutch station...
John, when we booked the same trip through NSHispeed and had problems, we had no problems having it sorted out at the Schiphol station. Just go to the ticket counter, explain your situation (and bring a print-out of your confirmation e-mail), and they should print you a new ticket. Best of luck and enjoy!
