I will soon be purchasing some of the txs for our June trip to Italy. While getting familiar with the site, I have noticed that at some point in the process, they say "Enter the carriage and seat number beside which you wish to travel here" the table that follows this instruction has a column for 'Coach' and another one for 'Seat' - what does it all mean?
When booking tickets through Trenitalia, I just skip the part where they ask you to put in a coach and seat number and continue on. On the next page, they just assign you a seat.
On a related note, I have read about troubles registering on the site. I went through the process and got a message that said I would receive an email with my password. That was 4 days ago. Is this the trouble people have had?
Have you registered Carmen?
I'm wondering if I should continue to wait or try to register again.
thank you both. I didn't realize I could skip that page. Will do.
Yes, I have registered and it seems to work. The only little glitch is that I always to reenter my password once; it never accepts the first time. Other than that, it's ok so far.
In my experience, Trenitalia sent me a message with my password within 45 seconds. It should do this if the site tells you that registration has been successful. Thus, you must give them an accurate email address. It's just like purchasing other things online and you get a purchase confirmatin within seconds in your email.
Next, the password they send you is temporary. They want you to sign on right away and change it to another and more permanent password of your own choosing.
