My 9:09AM sbb train from Zurich is scheduled to arrive at Milan Centrale at 12:50 PM on 6/15 and I plan to take another train as soon as I can to Venice. Should I book the Milan-Venice train now or wait till I arrive to Milan? There should be quite a few Milan-Venice trains in the afternoon but I don't know why trenitalia.com has shown only 1 train (12:05) the past few days.

Mau, Trenitalia is notorius for being late in putting up their new schedules. This is scheduled to be complete on June 9. Keep looking. All of a sudden, they will appear. If you look at a date that is 2-3 days from now, you will see the current schedules and fares. It won't change much when the new schedules appear.
