Trenitalia can I print my ticket??

Maybe younare trying too far ahead. I just went through a test purchase for Milan to Speiz in April. No problem. You do have to be registered as a user on Trenitalia, and there is no e-ticket option. They give you a confirmation that you use to pick up your ticket in Italy. They have a list of the self-service machines on the page.

actually I could print out the tickets for the trains within italy but the one train from Italy to switzerland I have to pick up at a station but did reserve and prepay

But what you said earlier was you could not buy the ticket to Switzerland which is why I took the time see what is going on and try to help you. Well I'm glad you got it done, anyway.

figured it out thanks.. it let me print it once I paid but never said I could .. such a strange system

Hi Barbara. for trips within Italy, use 'ticketless with email receipt'. You can print your tix at home, which I do, although you don't actually need it, all the conductor needs is your six digit code. For trips across the border (e.g. Italy to Swiss), you can buy online and print your ticket in any rail station in Italy. Enjoy your trip!

It won't let me buy from Italy to switz. Says not available for purchase.. shows the dates and the prices but won't allow purchase.

I cannot buy the tickets within switzerland.. Spiez to Lauterbrunnen and Lauterbrunnen to Bern You were correct I have to wait a month to buy them.. the one that went over the border I guess because it originated in Italy I was able to purchase but still need to pick up in Italy at a machine.. the other two tickets between Italian cities I was able to print out but it does not say that on the site. I only discovered that after I purchased and it gave me that option
