Hello, I have a few questions regarding the summer Trenitalia schedule. My husband and I planned to make 3 train reservations in Italy between June 19th and June 23rd. We will be traveling for the first time in Europe. We have specific travel dates and hoped to book ahead for the best rates. I just purchased our tickets from S.M.N to Roma Termini. I am having the "no solution" page pop up when trying to see the schedules for our other two legs, Milano Centrale-Monterosso and also Monterosso-S.M.N. For both of these legs I can see schedules for the first week of June but not the week we are traveling. Can anyone explain why I am unable to book these two legs of our trip at this time? Apparently, although everyone is trumpeting that Trenitalia has finally released the summer schedule, that does not seem to be the case with Intercity trains. The best trains from Milano Centrale to Monterosso are the direct Intercity trains, and they disappear after June 9. The fast trains are out, but they connect to IC or regional trains in Genoa. So keep checking, as there will be some 9 Euro fares available when they come out.
From Monterosso to S.M.N. they are all regional, and there is no advantage to buying early and will only go on sale 7 days before your departure. Just buy at the station.
