Traving around Venice

Hi,

1.I have a few questions about Transportation in Italy and I was hoping you could help me,
im traveling to Padova coming through Venice staying for 2 weeks in Padova wandering if there to buy a weekly pass that will help get to Bologna, Florence ext., from Padova, does it include bus , trains ext.
2.Can you tell me if I can get a prepaid Sim card there and if yes where and whats the price range.

  1. Not that I know of. Padova to Bologna can be done with a cheap Regionale ticket of 10.30 EUR each way. For Florence, use the fast Freccia trains. You can buy a single day round trip ticket for 69 EUR up until midnight of the day before you travel at Padova station.
  2. Should be easy to get. There is a Btel store in Venice airport. Tell them you are a short term tourist, otherwise you may need an Italian tax number.

There is an hourly (sometimes more often) bus from in front of the airport door that goes to the bus station next to Padova train station. You can buy tickets at the transportation window inside the airport. Just ask directions at the airport help desk. Fare is 8.50 EUR with a ticket bought in the airport, validate it in the stamping machine inside the bus. You can also buy on board for 10 EUR.
