What is the best/cheapest/easiest was to get from Marseille to Venice? The train takes 12 hours with lots of 'changes' so if anyone has driven or flown please let me know..Thanks

If the days of the week match your plans, you could take a train from Marseille to Lyon and fly easyJet from there to Venice Marco Polo. easyJet flights leave Lyon at 13:50 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 16:15 on Sundays.

You can determine the driving time by going here. But 2 things: the times given there don't include stops of any kind, and many have reported here that it took them about 25% longer to do the drives.
