Traveling within Paris, France

I will be part of a small group traveling to Paris for spring break and need EXACT directions to get from Charles de Gaulle airport to Maubert Mutualite metro exit. Do we take the blue line in from the airport and then change? HELP!

I don't know which airline you're using but if it's Air France you'll need to take a shuttle to Terminal 1 or 2. (most likely you'll deplane T1). Follow signs to the RER (this will be the Rojssy Rail - RER B, blue line downstairs). Take the train into St. Michel and disembark. Follow signs to the metro (on a different level). Go in the direction of Gare d'Austeriltz. The correct line is one that shows Cluny La Sorbonne as the first stop. This is a big transit point so be prepared to hoof it.

Your first stop should be Cluny La Sorbonne. The next stop is Maubert-Mutualite. If you get on the metro and the first stop says Odeon get off, cross over the tracks and go the other direction. (We've all had to do it!) When navigating the metro just take your time, look at the signs posted at each intersection of the pedestrian underground which connects various lines for the station that is the end of the line on which you wish to travel. Confused, ask any young person who looks likel

  1. Take the RER line B from the airport to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame. Keep your RER tickets handy! You will need them to transfer trains.

  2. At Saint-Michel, look for signs for the metro line 10. Take the metro line 10 to Maubert-Mutualité in the diretion of Gare d'Austerlitz.

Martine's answer is a great example of why this page is so great.

I'll add one more detail. There are two RER stations at CDG. If you arrive at Terminal 2, go to the CDG 2 TGV station which is below Terminal 2. If you arrive at Terminal 1, take the CDGVAL driverless shuttle train to the CDG 1 station.
