We are traveling by train to Tabor (58 miles south of Prague), but cannot find a means of transportation into the small town of Bechyne. Any information would be helpful. We are willing to rent a car or take a bus, but cannot find either one in Tabor.
Bus and train connections between Tabor and Bechyne are easy. The train and bus stations are colocated in Tabor a km or so from the historic center. The website for finding all CZ bus/train timetables is:

We have just returned from touring around south Moravia/Bohemia on our own via foot, bicycle, car and train. We had absolutely no trouble making connections anywhere-- even to the smallest villages, such as Lukov, Cisov, Bitov, etc. The CZ public trans system is so extensive that we wouldn't hesitate to set off on our own without a car for anywhere in the country, knowing that connections are almost always available and often frequent. Knowing just a few useful Czech words and phrases is a help. Everywhere, we found Czechs to be amazingly friendly and helpful. Happy travels.
