Is it safe for US travelers to tour in Greece, Santorini given the high unemployment rate there?

Santorini is totally a tourist place, I don't mean that in a bad way, I mean its totally built around catering to tourists and in season its busy as ever, , there are no demonstrations there or anything, its not a big city like Athens with government offices etc. I would visit Santorini with my 90 yr old mother or 9 year old child and feel equally safe.. ( my mom is dead however and my daugther is 16 now, but just illustrating a point, lol ) . Do not worry. If you are too worried though, send me your ticket and I will go for you . . I will of course submit a written report on any safety threats I perceivced while there though, lol

Stop watching American TV news and stop worrying. Greece is safer than Florida. There are no alligators or hurricanes there.
