Our family is traveling in Europe in September, 2009. We are 5 adults and 2 small children. WE will be in Cologne for business then wish to travel to Munich via the Romantic Road .. We will have a large Van... any suggestions for time, method (we would be able to leave the Van and take a boat, for example as we do not need to keep the car after Munich... we could train the rest of the way)... any suggestions as to how long we should plan for such a trip; can we take a boat and stop along the way and re board? or is there a "package" for such a trip??? Two of us have traveled the road before, but a long time ago! (grammy and grandad!!) Thanks..
