Am trying to price and then book a ticket from Lauterbrunnen or Zurich to Lindau germany.
There are several choices after Lindau (one is Dorf) and i am not certai which to choose. Also -it looks like we would transfer to a bus - can you not take the train directly to Lindau?
I am then planning to go from Lindau to Munich the next day - again what stations would I choose on the German rail site?

Lindau Hbf is the train station of that Germany city, Lindau Hafen is the boat dock, and "Lindau (CH), dorf" is a different town altogether, in Switzerland (Confederation Helvetica).
Lindau, Germany is also a popular place to pickup and return rental cars for those traveling to/from Zurich Airport that will be touring Germany and Austria.
I've driven through there, but not taken the trains.
If you are seeing multiple destinations on the DB site, a good choice for any city is to pick "Hbf", which is the abbreviation for "Hauptbahnhof" or "main station".
You do not need to, and usually cannot, book seats on trains in Switzerland. And I would say it is not necessary to book a seat for the few Km you will be in Austria or Germany. Just need to buy a ticket from Lauterbrunnen via Zürich to Lindau Hbf.
Lindau Hbf is on the island of Lindau, the train crosses on one of the two short causeways linking the island to the mainland.
