My family - four of us - need to travel quickly from Zagreb to Paris. Flights seem pricey but car/train travel seems too long. I've looked into driving to Salzburg then taking train from Salzburg to Paris but this even seems too long. Any other thoughts? Suggestions for inexpensive flights btwn rijeka or zagreb and paris? thank you! Tina

Croatian Airlines has one direct flight that departs at 08:30. I found a fare under $200 US.

Thank you. Also, we'd like to take a high speed ferry on Sunday, August 5 from Venice to Rijeka. Do you have any recommendations? Reliability was an issue when I did this in 1989. Thanks again. Tina

Tina, Either way by car or by train, it's going to be a long grind. I would do it this way because it has the least disruptions. Day train Zagreb-Munich with one change, arrive in Munich 21:33. Then take the night train CNL Munich-Paris at 22:47, direct, arrive 09:24. You have an hour or so layover in Munich Hbf. I've taken the Paris-Munich CNL night train, 2nd class, direct....no problems. If you board in Salzburg, most likely you need to change in Munich. Munich-Paris day involves more transfers, that's the advantage of Munich-Paris night CNL...direct.
