Traveling from Venice to Interlaken/Grindelwald

I am planning a Europe trip with multiple destinations, and at one point I will need to journey from Venice to Interlaken (final destination Grindelwald area), does anyone know what is the best way to travel this route? train would be preferred but I just want to understand the best / most common way most people would take

Everyone I know would take the train. You start with Venice to Milano Centrale—-a direct train that takes 2-2.5 hours. There are 2 main routes to Interlaken from Milan; one via Luzern and the other via Domodossola and Spiez. You can see the two options on a map of the Swiss rail system:

Milan is just off the map on the south.

You can use the Swiss rail site SBB.ch to explore the routes and travel times. It will vary depending on your date of travel, as there is construction on the Domodossola route for most of the summer and train will be replaced with a bus link for part of the journey.

If you are travelling to Grindelwald then that is your destination, not Interlaken. Go to www.sbb.ch and enter "Venezia" as origin, and "Grindelwald" as destination and you will see times and prices.

Also be prepared to position yourself at Venice-Mestre instead. That 10-minute segment from Venice-Santa Lucia to Mestre is sometimes cancelled (but not the succeeding journeys), so you can pre-emptively be ready at Mestre, to catch your Milan-bound train.
