Traveling from Rome

What is the best way to go from Rome to Sienna, by bus or train?

Sue, the train takes almost 3-1/2 hours with a change in Florence. I don't have info on the bus, but personally (note: personally...not everyone would agree with me!) I find the train more comfortable and it doesn't make me feel carsick! Second class is about 22E and first is about 28E.
By train you'll arrive just outside the actual town and you'll need to take the local bus from the train station into Siena proper whereas with a bus, you'll arrive in Siena. Taxis are also available although you might have to wait for one to arrive.

The answer is probably "both". As mentioned above, the train route takes you a bit out of the way and leaeves you on the outskirts of town to catch a bus. The other options are fast train to Florence, then bus from near the train station in Florence to Siena town center, or Train to Chuisi, and bus to Siena.
