Hello! My husband and I will be traveling from Munich to Florence... should we fly or take a night train? Night train leaves Munich at 9pm, arriving Florence at 6am. Getting there faster would be nice (fly), but is about $100 more than the train. Any advice - or airlines to recommend? Thanks!

FYI, it looks like you made a typo. The CNL night train leaves Munich at 18:57 (6:57 p.m.) and arrives in Florence at 06:18 (6:18 a.m.). When are you taking this trip? If you book well in advance (up to 92 days allowed) on the German Rail site, you can get a discount fare of €119.00/person for beds in a two-person sleeper. Using the search engine skyscanner.com which has timetables for both budget airlines and national carriers, I found non-stop flights on Lufthansa for $770.00 US. I found flights on Air Berlin with one connection for under $200 US.
