Traveling from Dubrovnick to Split

My husband and I are traveling from Dubrovnick to Split on a Friday in July. We are not renting a car. What is the best way to do this? Thank you.

There is a long-distance, comfortable bus that runs between the two cities - it's a lovely ride but takes a few hours (I think maybe about 4 or so?). You can just get a ticket at the main bus station which is a bit outside the Old City walls (you can get to it via the local bus). The Dubrovnik bus system is inexpensive and easy to use, so you should have no problems. I remember I bought some kind of tourist card which was good on many museums, the fortifications walk, and the public bus system.

Jadrolinja ferries!
Just like Rick did!

I took one from Dubrovnik to Korcula,
stopped for a couple of nights in one
of Rick's recommendations, then took
another one up to Split.

The ferry ride was wonderful...
great views of the small islands
on the Adriatic, and very comfortable.

I don't have it with me, but there is a link
to the ferry website, with schedules and fares.
Not expensive at all..
