We would like to travel the Bernina Express on our way from Bellagio to Munich. Any suggestions? Connection times seem almost impossible.

Margie, do you mean Bellagio as in Lake Como?? If so, I did this 3 years ago but not on the Bernia Express. I took the night train on Die Bahn, leaving Como around 7 pm?, arriving Munich the next day around 9 or 10 am (i think).
I splurged and paid for the sleeper car, and the train porter took care of us, showing our passport for us while we slept. The train was clean, and there was even a shower down the hall of the train, and a private sink in the cabin.

I was looking at the Swiss train site at www.sbb.ch and the Bernina Express run from Varenna to Chur looks weird. These runs are all about 7.0hrs which is too long. I also see a note that says "prolonged stop". I also see a bus run in one part of the run. It looks strange. If you really want the Bernina Express, you can email the Swiss train site. I've done it a few times and they do respond within 48 hours in nice English.
