We will be in France in September of this year and want to travel from Chamonix-Mont Blanc to Interlaken for a couple of days. We would be traveling on October 3, 2011 and are trying to find train schedule information for the trip.

Schedules for October won't be out for some time. You can look at a current schedule for the same day of the week, as they don't change much. Basically you will travel from Chamonix to Martigny, changing there for a train to Visp, and then Spiez, then Interlaken. Thsi is the shortest route and takes about 3 hours 45 minutes or more, depending on the connections. There are variations on the route if you want more scenery, but they take longer.

I believe that Chamonix-Mt. Blanc is one of very few places outside of Switzerland where the Swiss passes and cards will work.
