We are visiting Poland in July with 10 family members. Is it possible to rent a car/van big enough to carry all of us as we drive from Warsaw to Krakow? How to do this?

i wouldn't suggest you drive from Warsaw to Krakow, but that you take the train instead. I'm pretty sure it would be cheaper in the long run, and a lot more worry free. Outside of the Autobahn that goes from Germany through Poznan and onto Lvov, the highway infrastructure in Poland is more like the 1950's in the US than the 2000's; it can get pretty exciting driving, especially with 10 folks in 1 vehicle. Checking polrail.com, tickets are 62PL one way for 2nd class, or about $20 a person.

I've done that journey by train and it's a lot more relaxing than driving. Roger
